Pisgah Climbing and Outdoor Guides offers several opportunities to get involved with our work. From mentorship programs, internships, part time and full time guiding positions, to guest guiding opportunities for certified guides looking to work with an existing client through legitimate avenues, we can help.

Mentorships

Our mentorship programs is still being built. Once this program is ready, its design will be to enable folks to become climbers and outdoors recreators who would not otherwise have access to the resources needed to become one. Stay Tuned!

Internships

The Summer Internship. June - August

Each season we select one individual for our summer internship program. This is a paid program that is designed to take an aspiring Single Pitch Instructor and prepare them for their assessment. During this program you will be asked to commit to a full week 3 times and three days a week the rest of the internship period. You will help out with day to day operations, shadow bookings, help with group bookings and summer camps, and get significant mentorship from our guides. Applicants should have completed the AMGA Single Pitch Instructor Course and hold a Wilderness First Aid Certification at a minimum. Applicants should put "Summer Internship program" as the subject, and tell us why we should select you!

Internship for College Programs. Spring or Fall semester

This unpaid internship is designed for students in outdoor education programs who need to complete an internship. The intern will be asked to commit one day a week to the company and will learn many aspects of outdoor rock guiding programs, from business management, marketing, program development, program leadership, and more. This internship has some flexibility in order to satisfy various requirements set by the intern's program as well. Employment

If you are a certified Single Pitch Instructor with some experience and are looking to work in the industry, give us a shout. At the moment we are fully staffed but it never hurts to drop us a line.
